Great outing for the family. Be prepared to spend the entire day and have on good walking shoes! The African side is shaded the North American side is mostly not shaded. Bring a picnic lunch--prices there are pricey.

You definitely need to wear good walking shoes. Go on a cloudy day during the summer. It was cloudy Saturday when we went so it wasn't uncomfortable. Of course there are lots of children running around and parents with strollers. If any of those things...More

This is a walking zoo lots of up hills. They have a new Antelope area that is huge there's elephants there as well. Some areas were closed up. The trams run well. It's reasonably priced. The only area that I see that needs cleaning is...More

Tasteless, cold cheeseburger, I am amazed this is meant to be high quality beef. Food is likely to get cold since the drinks are served to you by the staff AFTER you have picked up your hot food, and the wait is long. They really...More

This zoo is big, wear good walking shoes! The animals have alto of space to roam. It is shady. It is not commercial like many other zoos. A perfect place to see wildlife, inexpensive. The staff is welcoming. Definitely a place we will go again.

Love this zoo, one of the best we have ever visited. The polar bear is the top attraction in my opinion, but love all the animals there.

No penguins but the area which has the polar bear has several viewing vantage points and the bear seems to be animated by the crowds; very nicely done habitat suggestive of where you would expect to see polar bears. No... More

I did not check out the situation for wheelchair assessability, but I do know that there are free trams, buses and shuttles around the zoo, and to the parking lots. There is a hop on site near each entrance, and one more... More
