Best market in turkey
Oct 2019
We love turgutries and the Saturday market is the biggest in turkey and they sell everything from food to clothes to toys even shoes at great prices so long as you are prepared to haggle, its all part of the game for them and for us, a place not to miss

Bustling market
Oct 2019 • Couples
Firstly I hate haggling and markets and not much a shopper but contrary to other reviewers we did not have any verbal abuse , we were firm and would walk away .
Always go for a third of what they start with and check what you are buying , a bag neatly bought had dodgy handle and also check items in boxes as may it be the size it says
The fruit and veg market is amazing and worth a visit round even if you don’t buy anything

Good market very busy
Oct 2019 • Couples
Visited the market on a Saturday seems to go on forever all the usual fakes, handbags, perfume, hoodies, football strips etc some of the stall holders can be very pushy but they are quite funny and will haggle with u. Food market was amazing all fresh spices, fruit, nuts tried a Turkish chocolate pancake and it was delicious! Spent a good 5 hours looking at everything and stopping for a few drinks. Not for those who hate shopping!

A bustling morning at Turgutreis Market
Oct 2019 • Solo
I think I came here on a Tuesday-Market Day-and it was a brilliant, yet exhausting experience. The fruit ect market is quite big selling everything from fruits, veg, nuts olives, Turkish delight ect. It's reasonably prices, yet never pay over half of their original price. You could spend a good 1-2 hours here, though it can be done quickly in half an hour if you're now buying much. Around the area are the usual fake copy shops and the Marina with Cafes, bars ect. About 5 mins from this Market is literally a 1+ mile market of genuine fakes ect that seem to go on forever. It was literally never ending and I needed a sit down at the end of it. Well worth a visit.

Great place if you like to shop and haggle
Oct 2019 • Couples
Visited in October, busy but not too bad. Can be a little intense at first, but you get used to it fairly quickly. If you don't want an item keep walking and be friendly, but firm. Lots of variety and lots of bargains, but you definitely have to haggle. If you don't know how to haggle leave now! Have a price in your head you're willing to pay and stand by it. 9 times out of 10 you get what you want. Just don't budge! Don't pay more than €25 for a lamp and €15 for shoes. They'll want 3x that amount or more. Just stick to a third or even less. You'll get it!

Don't need to wait till Market Day
Sep 2019
We were in Turgutreis on a Thursday. Taxi dropped us of at the mosque, this was ideal for the market/shops. Lots and lots of the usual stalls for "genuine fakes" and not quite so much of the hassle that you get at markets. So no need to wait for the Saturday Market.
