Nice church

Went during Sunday service and the church was very crowded to maximum capacity. Many vendors around and a market just in front. wonderful place to visit.

We went here for the feast of the Black Nazarene, to witness the faith of those who believe. The church is a Minor Basilica inspired by Hispanic, American and Filipino design, the church is not as big o grand as other Roman Catholic Churches in the world but the faith of a devotee is bigger than the flood of crowd... That's a very crowded church in all times of the days I heard much more during Fridays fir most of the devotees are sending requests and prayers to Jesus of Nazareth they call it Apo Nazareno. This is known as a Miraculous Church for Filipinos and even to foreign people who visited the church. It's very inspiring and uplifting when... More

While in Manila, I made sure that I had time to visit with an old friend; Quiapo Catholic Church, officially known as The Minor Basilica of the Black Nazarene. Quiapo Church is one of the most iconic structures in the whole of Manila. It has been around for centuries and is home to miracles. If you aren't the religious type,... More

The area surrounding the Church is so unpleasant with many unruly vendors, tricycles, parked cars, etc.

I wanted to hear mass at this church on. Friday and I didn't realize it is crowded during novena Fridays. I wasn't even able to go to see the black Nazarene because the line up was crazy plus the fact that it rained the day before so the streets outside the church was really muddy. If u want to make... It was amazing to see THOUSANDS at a mid week mid afternoon service on a Friday!! Unbelievable to see so many people attending mass. That said, if you want to see the church I think Friday is best avoided. It is famous for the Black Nazareen cross which goes on an annual procession in January. There is a lot is... More

This Church, dedicated to the "Mahal na Poong Hesus Nazareno", is the MOST visited Roman Catholic Church in the whole Philippines, especially on Fridays -- which is popularly and fondly called "Araw ng Hesus Nazareno sa Quiapo" (Day of the Beloved Jesus of Nazareth in Manila's Quiapo District). The present architectural design resulted from the expansion to accommodate more and... More

I've been to Quiapo Church several times, and would say that this is one of the hotspots of pickpockets, thieves and so on... They are looking for their next targets, so please DO NOT bring any of your valuables, or wear it in public view...
