A modern church but it's so famous and is the home of the Black Nazarene.

Quiapo Church is located on one side of Plaza Miranda, the site of an infamous bombing during Martial Law. The Church is built on the site of a much older Church which was too... read more

It was amazing to see THOUSANDS at a mid week mid afternoon service on a Friday!! Unbelievable to see so many people attending mass. That said, if you want to see the church I think Friday is best avoided. It is famous for the Black Nazareen cross which goes on an annual procession in January. There is a lot is... More

This Church, dedicated to the "Mahal na Poong Hesus Nazareno", is the MOST visited Roman Catholic Church in the whole Philippines, especially on Fridays -- which is popularly and fondly called "Araw ng Hesus Nazareno sa Quiapo" (Day of the Beloved Jesus of Nazareth in Manila's Quiapo District). The present architectural design resulted from the expansion to accommodate more and... More

I've been to Quiapo Church several times, and would say that this is one of the hotspots of pickpockets, thieves and so on... They are looking for their next targets, so please DO NOT bring any of your valuables, or wear it in public view...

One of the most beautiful churches i've seen. In the heart of Quiapo, a fantastic local said "crazy Americano" not really safe. The area is a goldmine of deals, but with any extremely poor area there are s natchers and things not suitable for kids or potentially your girlfriend. I love it here but you must stay on your toes.

We passed through here when on the way to Divisoria. The church exterior was beautiful even if its surrounding wasn't so inspiring. There were too many people though and we didn't feel like queuing.

It was a pleasant experience. There is security ensuring the orderliness of the people. Those who use their cellphones were requested to refrain from using them during the mass.

Quiapo Church is located on one side of Plaza Miranda, the site of an infamous bombing during Martial Law. The Church is built on the site of a much older Church which was too small for the number of people attending. The new church was built around the old church, which was dismantled and taken out of the main door... More

The church is also popular due to its Patron Saint The Black Nazarene. Its very accessible bu Jeepney or taxi. All drivers knows this church just say " Quiapo Church".The traffic speciallly during Fridays can really be challenging. Daily and hourly masses are celebrated.I noted office workers, construction workers and anybody who may be asking for blessings , protection or their... More
