It is certainly amazing to visit a 17th century mosque. It is very small and could probably only accommodate the believers during the earliest days. The architecture is unique but the galvanized sheet roof looks rather modern. The mosque is surrounded by graves. It is a place of sanity lost in the bustle of the city. A nice place to... More

An old mosque from the 17th century, with interesting architecture and unique minaret. Not much to do here, though.

The Old Friday Mosque is really an old Mosque. You can walk in the gardens and look at this simple yet beautiful and quite old mosque. The gardens are nice, with tombs surrounding it. There's a dress code to respect if you want to get inside (no shorts, no sleeveless shirts...).

We had a great guide so he made all male city interesting and nice. He knows a lot stories about the king, the government, the war, the religion. Indeed he brought us to a shop to wait for rains stopping, but he didn't push us to buy anything.

I wish I could have gone inside the mosque as it only allows men or women with scarves. Please be forewarned to bring a scarf if you want to go in. My husband said it was pretty nice inside.

Sometime we can see the the color was faded because of not maintaining properly. I addition to this, history of mosque is required in writing like information Board. It can mention how develop and renovated mosque till today.
