This museum was divided into four sections covering the country of Malaysia. So much to see and to learn about the influence of the Portugese and the British. I was more interested in section Civering the story of the rubber planting and how they dealt with the communist problems Very well laid out and well worth a visit

At first I thought it would be as boring as a usual museum would be. But then when I visited the museum, it was fun and creative. It alters the boringness.. it was the best experience indeed

This is one of the best museum and art gallery in Kuala Lumpur. I would say it has class of its own. Come and visit while you are in KL. Admission is free!

I was here with a group of friends to celebrate an early Lunar New Year gathering, BNM Museum and Art Gallery made more than anticipated, special arrangements for us, for a guided tour to the Museum on a weekend and packages of Yee Sang in a nicely arranged setting at the Museum Café. My friends and I were not only... More

This is my fifth time visiting here and it's really worth the visit. It didn't looks like a typical museum from the outside; more like modern office building. It spreads the exhibition throughout all 4 floors. There are kids section at the main entrance. There's a lot of hands on self serve activities for kids like stamping the money, trace... More

Walking memory lane. All the old printed money n coins were there. It is 3 storey high n bags are searched by police officer before entering. Ground floor exhibits are suitable for children with a few interactive stations. There is cafeteria too with sandwiches, cakes n coffees. It is a quiet place on weekend n public holiday, good to be... More

Not until we visited the Museum and Art Gallery was practically none of our members (Japanese retirees living in KL) aware that prohibiting the receipt and payment of interest is the core of the Islamic financial system and that the idea is supported by other principles of Islamic philosophy of how to lead a financial life.
