Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Little India Brickfields is an Indian neighborhood in the heart of Kuala Lumpur. And truly, it's like being in India. The smells, the shops, the food... It's small, but it's worth taking a stroll and having a meal there.

Feel like you are in India. Music, shops, food, bajaj motorbike, masala tea and little Indian style life. This place is always congested with huge crowds. Enjoy Masala Tea.

If you are after a bit of India, this may be it. Loved browsing the Indian stores and the amazing colors of fabrics, flowers, etc.

Nothing special to see in this area, so i wouldn’t recommend it. Also taxi driver was asking me what i’m doing there. But still next to it there is a mall for grab a food

This is a very vibrant exciting part of KL. It is full of life and color especially at night. We ate some yummy indian food here and it's cheap.

I would say that Brickfields is one of the more interesting Little India that I have visited, in relative to the ones I have seen in Singapore for instance. It is bustling with vibrant shops!

Nonetheless, it is not an essential stop while you are in KL. And compared to the real India, it is rather so-so. Still worth a visit if you have extra time though!

You can get most of India here from textiles to food. You can find amazing Indian Sweets on the roadside. The flowers remind India. The majority of the South Indian feel here. Colorful. Not much to do here but worth exploring the shops

This place caters to the needs of Indian households and everything that they need. It is located in the city centre and also functions as the centre of business for Indian traders and business people... you get everything here, from saree shops to eateries and Indian sweet shops, provision shops to flower shops and other retail businesses... it's all here!.. This place is very popular even among tourists and is always lively as ever!

A lot smaller than expected, not much to do and surprisingly we didn't see that many restaurants...We visited late afternoon so possibly more happening in the evening? We walked around a bit; along by the coloured archways and up the street to the busy junction to see the Torana Gate. Recommend walking past to take a few photos at least. Located at a busy junction, there is also a large elephant monument/fountain at same junction.

We visited during the day as we planned to visit some of the local temples. We had read that Sri Kandaswamy Temple is very similar to the one we visited in Chinatown but even larger. However we were very disappointed that this was closed and covered up on arrival. We also walked a long way out of the area to see Buddhist Maha Vihara but there was not a lot to see here and would not recommend. Both are to be reviewed separately.

Little India was rather a let down for us. There wasn't much to see or do, nor did we find many restaurants. We did have a good meal at Chat Masala, which was sooooo cheap! (reviewed separately) So if ever in KL again we would return to visit Sri Kandaswamy Temple and have another meal. It is a distance from the city centre, over 20 minutes drive, but a Grab was only 16MYR back to our hotel (£3).
