The outside of this entrance and what you can see of the place is very impressive, but that is all you will be able to see.

Was fortunate to have my Grab driver offer to stop by here and take a photo in front of the gate. He did so free of charge. Love the people in KL! Would have liked to see inside the complex.

There's not much to do in The Royal King's Palace because commoners are not allowed to enter, only those people with royal blood can. We spent approximately 10 minutes to cover everything. Do not forget to bring umbrella or hat when it's a sunny dat, the heat could toast you. XD

Spent 15 minutes here for a photo stop while on the Hop on Hop off Tour of Kuala Lumpur. All you can see is the entry gate and the impressive looking palace in the distance. Photography is limited to the four guards ... two on horses and two who give a little glimmer of a smile :-).

This review is quite late. Istana Negara was our first stopover when I took the Hop On Hop Off Bus Tour in Kuala Lumpur. It provides an excellent opportunity for picture taking.

This place is a must visit... Very clean place. Photography is allowed, but you can not go inside entrance gate. Entry to the palace is prohibited. Still it attracts crowd.. Fully crowded place all days...

The palace is nestled in between Sri Hartamas and Damansara Heights which is close to the city center. You would provably need around 1/2 hour to spend at this location mainly for photo. When we were there we managed to experience the palace guards changing shift. Good place to bring young children for a short duration. The location is also... More
