The street vendors must have a strong hold on local politicians to be able to keep selling mainly fake copies of bags, watches and clothing to tourists year after year. Without the stalls blocking the walkways and pushy arrogance of the sellers you could almost enjoy Chinatown as itself. I buy my yearly depot of flu medicine Yin Chiao tablets... More

You have to haggle here! it is basically a massive fake brad market but its so fun to be there and experience it. Be prepared to stand tough with your haggling. don't just give in as its what they are good at. You can get handbags, purses, wallets, clothing, makeup, watches and tourist memorabilia here. A lot of fun and... More

I have been to this place about 5 years back, and it used to be thriving with good merchandise and souvenirs. However, during my last visit, I found the quality of the products to have diminished along with variety. The place has become somewhat rundown and the products are not as cheap as it used to be. It's okay for... More

Visiting Jalan Petaling is well worth a visit. I found the night time market offerred a greater range of stalls. Don't accept the original price , barter for a better deal. The shops behind the stalls, even though difficult to see have really good prices and usually different products. Food and drink are available . In the little street prior... More

Enter Petaling street and embrace a huge array of different foods and experiences like no where else. Set aside at least 2-3 hours and bring about 20RM to experience most foods and leave you full. Jam packed with vendors selling many different goods from fake fancy things (esp watches and sunnys) to locally made clothing. The food was a highlight... More

I tried a lot of food here from wonton to chest nut. Honestly, I love the food very much. One thing I don't like much is the atmosphere. Maybe Petaling is a tourist destination therefore it is not able to show its fact but somehow we have to accept. Also you can buy souvenirs but should bargain, ;). Check prices... More

Good place to go for replica hand bags in KL. Stall holders only display poor quality bags so ask to see their showroom for the good ones! They can be quite pricey though averaging AUD 150 for a good bag. Remember to shop around and bargain!

be careful when you buy. many of the products are not good quality. You can get copies of many top brands here. if they say 100 you can buy at 10 for sure. happy bargaining...
