Overview
More
Central Market began life as a wet market in 1888, built by Yap Ah Loy, the city’s Chinese Kapitan. It served as a prominent landmark in colonial and modern-day Kuala Lumpur. When the wet market was relocated in the 1980s, the Malaysian Heritage Society successfully petitioned against the demolition of the building. Now, Central Market Kuala Lumpur is an iconic attraction and a delightful destination for tourists, shoppers and art lovers.

Basically just the same shop over and over again selling the same clothes or souvenirs, worth a quick walk through but nothing more

Whatever you want to buy you have a great choice and good value at good prices. No hassle and you can try to barter but some items are at fixed price Well worth a visit as metro line takes you right there

Lots of tourist shops that some may find gimmicky, others may find intriguing. Air-conditioned interior, which provides a good respite from the sweltering heat.

This was great. It's in a big hall with many different stalls. It's quite touristy, not the local experience I was wanting but still great. Prices can be higher than they should be, try bargaining down. There was a great variety of stalls.
