I loved it here. There weren't many people there when I went. You don't have to pay to go into the church but you also can't walk all the way around the inside. It was so quiet and peaceful in there and I am happy that...More

There is a ruin of the Church at Atomic Bomb Explosion Site and also at the Museum so It is recommendable to go to those location fist and then visit the church itself to have better understanding.

The community has got together to rebuilt this cathedral after the atomic bomb. There are sculpture that are ruins of the bomb. Very peaceful cathedral to visit.

I would like to add one thing that probably many tourists may neglect: the souvenirs. Inside the church there is a small table displaying a few items, including book of Christian songs, bilingual introduction of the 26 martyrs, photography of the cathedral and so on....More

A bit of a walk from Nagasaki Peace Park, but a good place to check out if you are into the history of the church and how the bomb affected it.

Viewing this from the hill at the Peace Park it looks quite stunning and from outside it is, however it is quit barren inside and worthy I would suggest of about 5 minutes of your time.

A rebuild of the original destroyed by the atomic bomb. Very little left of the original and if honest would have given it a miss.

I'm not Christian, but this church was historically interesting. It has bell tower fallen to the ground by atomic bomb and head of Mary burnt by the blast. Also in the front there's a memorial for persecuted Christians and big stone used to torture them...More

My husband and I spent time praying here and it was a great way to digest and pray over everything we had seen and read about the bomb. It's a beautiful church. There is a small gift shop that sells religious art pieces made by...More

Not particularly religious but went in to say a prayer. A simple church, can have a moment of silence when you are there.

Urakami has no English mass. The only Catholic Church I know which has English mass in Nagasaki is one near the 26 Martyr Monuments.
