Very large, very commanding position and full of meaning and significance. Situated at the end past the central fountain, it is quite magnificent.

This is the main memorial in the Peace Park and well worth seeing. Saw local Japanese children singing hymns under it. Very moving.

The massive Peace Statue was erected in memory and as a symbol of world peace to commemorate the atomic bombing of Nagasaki on August 9th 1945. The park is high up and can be accessed from the road by escalator. The main plaza is huge and leads you to the peace fountain, look back to the main statue for a... More

This may be the main statue in the Peace Park (due to it's massive size) but it wasn't the only thing to see there. It is a nice sentiment, and a good work of art.

The statue is very large and quite imposing. One hand is pointing up to the sky from where the bomb came from. A very good reminder that we should never forget what happened here in Nagasaki in 1945.

I like the park over all. The statue has meaning but the park pulls it all together. It is a nice piece of artwork that should be visited.

This one is hard to miss near the park and museums. There are huts nearby with thousands of paper cranes. It is clear that this moment in history is not to be forgotten and it serves as a memorial to the victims.
