As beautiful as it is, and as grand as it is, this is a reconstruction several times over in the past 500 or so years. Last destroyed in 1945.The grounds are somewhat spoiled by the very europeanised nearby castle like shopping mall and fancy restaurant....

This building looks beautiful and idyllic from the outside, and the park surrounding it shows already how impressive this piece of architecture is. As the castle is rebuilt, not much is left its original interior. So, unless you prefer to have a view on the...More

Osaka Castle is a very attractive place to visit in Osaka. We had a very short time to visit this place, however, we nailed it. Try to visit all the historical collection at the different floor of the castle. The city view from the top...More

The outside is beautiful, but do not pay ¥600 to go inside if you expect an authentic castle. They've completely modernized the inside (seriously looks like an hotel - see image) and there's is nothing left of the old castle. Also, the view from the...More

The castle was so beautiful and the view from the top was amazing for not being a massive structure! It was everything I thought and wanted Japan to be!

Pros: It’s free. It’s cool and awe-inspiring. There are a lot of photo opportunities and ice cream spots. Cons: Advertisements for expensive tours are faulty when you can just go and see it yourself. Highly recommended.

The Osaka castle is in the business district of Osaka and well connected with the transport system. Good for a nice walk around as the cues to enter are quite long... There is a small shopping center right beside to find some weird souvenirs and...More

One of biggest castle that still stands in Japan that turned into historical museum. The entrance fee was quite high for me, I have no regret. So many information about Japan history in this castle, it worth to visit if you love history. There's so...More

Hello Zehra Yes I would visit the shine while you are there. If you have time visit the restaurants and tourist shops across the park from the castle. It gets busy but there are places to sit. If you have more time in Osaka... More
