This building is literally like one big history lesson. You truly understand and appreciate Japanese history and the importance of this building whose architecture alone is stunning.

Love the great view of the Osaka Castle. Longing to reach there with the flight of steps from the Otemon gate. The kids look be the street vendor performance. Was on our first day itinerary & never failed to impress us.

The castle itself is a beautiful structure. Very large and was in absolute awe of how pretty it was. To go inside is ¥600. Inside is like a history museum which is pretty cool if you're a history buff. Definitely recommend

This is a huge castle with a great history! We took the elevator to the fifth floor and walked through the stairs. There are dioramas of the Castle`s history. There are English subtitles. We walked through the souvenir shops.Be prepared for long walks so wear comfortable shoes. The castle closes at 5pm. But we enjoyed the crabmeat in skewers the... More

Great castle from afar and definitely worth the visit if time permits. There is a wonderful moat that runs around the castle and makes for some fantastic picture opportunities. The castle was much larger than others that we have seen during our travels in Japan . Very nice park surrounding it as well , makes for a nice afternoon.

You can choose to walk up to the 8th Storey or take lift to 5th Storey and walk all the way up the 8th Storey observation deck. View is magnificent especially during autumn. Interior is more of an exhibition hall, unlike Himeji castle very preserved castle with no modern lift but narrow staircases to climb up to 6th Storey (placed... More
