We took a jr train (using rail pass) from Kyoto to Osaka today and spend most of the afternoon in this massive aquarium. You follow a tunnel around most of the way with fabulous enclosures of fish and other waterside animals e.g. capybara, puffins, otters....More

My ultimate goal of going to Osaka. My 4th aquarium visit and the biggest one. It has 3 big whale sharks, quite sure not as big you'd find in the ocean. They have very different way of showing the Jellyfish so its extra point for...More

Nice, well maintained fish. We were amazed with the whale sharks. They were just beautiful. Kids loved the jellyfish showcases. The seals, dolphins, sharks, other fish were all active and looked well taken care of.

We went here because we thought 'why not?' It ended up being one of the highlights of our trip. I've been to some acquariums in the UK and one in Hong Kong. This knocked those out of the water. A huge range of animals, with...More

Check if your hotel sells the tickets. we stayed at universal port and they sold the tickets and ferry tickets also. Very easy and not crowded day we went. Never saw any lines to get it. Well organised. Enjoy.
