The Tokaido Shinkansen / Sanyo Shinkansen service between Tokyo and Hiroshima. I travelled between Shinkobe and Tokyo. Shinkansen services include the super express Nozomi, the Hikari. Shin-Osaka to Tokyo in just 2 hours 57 minutes. Comfortable rides, and you can see Mt Fuji if you sit on DE’s seating. If you use JR Pass, don’t forget to reserve your seats at the counter. Bring your bento before departure.

SAmazing bullet train experience. From the gleaming new Osaka Railroad station to Tokyo in under 2 /12 hours at 200 miles per hour. Awesome.

Indeed, you can do Shinagawa-Nagoya as a two day trip. However JR will treat each leg as a separate journey and tickets will be issued as such. You can even do the trip in less than a day, if you wish. A limited-stop... More
