Worth a visit. Great 360 degree views with free telescopes. Very good food hall in basement of the building, much nicer and not as busy as those in Kyoto station vuilding

I think it is best viewed from afar. I didnt actutally go on the observation deck. It still looks amazing landmark at night.

It was not expensive at all and the view is incredible! Perfect for sightseeing and there is suvenirs you can buy throughout the place ☺️

The first building you will see upon alighting the Kyoto STA. You would think ancient structures will overcome you when you arrive in Kyoto but check out first the city's modernity and technological advances.

Tower is right across from station. Specifically came back on bullet train to Kyoto since I did not get a chance to see tower. Easily done in an hour. Although there were a lot of tourists it was not bad. Free Wi-fi that actually works....More

It's already closed. A shopping mall, Kyoto Avanti in Hotel Kyoto Grande which is located in South side of the Kyoto station has Daiso shop.

Yes, Kyoto tower is just opposite Kyoto JR/Shikanshen station. Come out of the station and you will see the tower.
