We came by this temple by accident and was truly impressed by its massive main building and highly decorated entrance. Worth spending a little time if you are interested in temples.

This Buddhist Temple is a Unesco World Heritage site and yet it does not seem to be very popular with the tourists ! Maybe it is because there are 16 other Unesco sites in Kyoto or because they mix it with the Higashi Honganji in...More

This is definitely worth a visit . Although not as large or famous as Higashi Honganji , it is also good . And , just a short walk from Higashi Honganji . That is , both are near Kyoto Station .

The temple is inspiring. Walking through it is amazing to see the structures built and the feeling of calmness there.

It is a huge complex with interesting buildings to explore and some English to enlighten you on history. It is such a peaceful place to visit.

This is a beautifully restored building that was not over run with tourists. A place of hugeness in terms of structure. Well worth popping in for a visit and take a few moments to view, reflect and think.
