Not the best temple to spend your time at due to the amount of people who pass through. It looks very nice if you can get there early or in the evening.

This small lovely shrine is located at the beginning of Bamboo Forest Street. It is said that you have an easy delivery, when you pray this god.

Small shrine but quite crowded. There are some amulets to choose from. However, amulets' meaning are written in Japanese so you can only guess its meaning from the design or the drawing...unless you have someone who knows Japanese with you.

This is my second visit to this shrine. In the middle of the bamboo forest, this peaceful shrine is quite lovely to visit. I particularly like the moss covered garden that changes with the seasons. This trip there were bright yellow maple leaves settled over...More

There is a belief that you can pray for good love here according to what I read about the shrine history. The shrine itself is very beautiful with red color and very popular. Many foreigners and also local people come here. You should check it...More

Western Kyoto is home to some of the city's best
