Beautiful villa and garden. Not many tourists which is a great plus. It's located at the end of the Arashiyama Bamboo Area. 1000 yen admission fee also includes a small sweet and a bowl of tea.

After the disappointing Bamboo Grove we headed to this highly recommended garden. The entrance is expensive (1000 ¥) but definitely worth it. It includes a matcha tea and biscuit. The garden is very big with loads of dense foliage and tiny paths. There are also...More

Great views out over Kyoto. Includes a cup of green tea and a biscuit which was nice. Also the entrance included a nice post card.1000 for adults was worth it, but you don't get to see the whole gardens.

On our way there in a taxi winding through what appears to be suburban backstreets we noticed the absence of other taxis. At 17h00 closing time it became clear that taxis do not frequent the area and Uber does not serve the region either. We...More

Period, where old homes have been transformed into tea
houses and eateries. Pleasure boats drift down the
riverbank, under wooden bridges that beckon nature
lovers to hiking trails and botanical walks. The
area's famously tall bamboo groves, monkey park, and
