Temple is small but have great view. You must have healty leg to come here since the stair is steep and need a little tracking to get to the higher area that have great view. Have free wifi :)

The temple located in Arashiyama is small but beautiful inside and we have a quiet enjoyment there by paying the entrance fee of Yen500 per person. The landscaped grounds inside are well maintained. Worth to come during sakura period.

Quiet and peaceful, worth the entrance fee. The walk from small temple to small temple was extremely relaxing and interesting. Recommend this temple.

Jojakko-ji Temple is a quaint temple on the main Arashiyama tourist route that offers a chance to escape the crowds that swarms the area. A good little enclave to explore before heading to the forest.

We took the Randen Keifuku Dentetsu-Arashiyama Line tram from Shijo-Omiya station. This is definitely a must visit temple with its serene and 'close to nature' feel. The steep steps to the temple is one of the main attractions, though it may be a struggle for...More

Jojakko-ji temple is a short walk from the Arashiyama bamboo grove. It is better to club the visit to this place with your walk through the bamboo grove. This place is beautiful with moss-covered lands and well-maintained gardens. Please note - there are steep steps...More

If you think after Tokyo you have seen too many temples to bother with this one you're wrong. It has a dozen featured buildings, beautiful moss gardens, ancient bells and a truly contemplative atmosphere. There is also the brilliant lookout over the mountains, gardens and...More
