ABURIMOCHI is one of the best B-class sweet in Kyoto. There are two sweet houses along welcome road to the shrine, IMAMIYA shrine. You will taste, try and decide which is your choice.

I used to live near this shrine as I was a child. This is why I am quite familiar with this shrine. When you enter from the east gate, you might feel as if you strayed into a scene of historical movie.

This is a beautiful and peaceful shrine, with many smaller shrines contained on the grounds. There are some nice buildings, nice walks to the small shrines, and calm ambiance (especially if you just walked over from Kinkaku-ji with its crowd of people). And there are...More

Nice place to visit. Such a antique area with beautiful architecture. There're no train in this area so you need to go by bus.

Stopped there for a brief visit during our private cycling tour with "Nuro" and very much liked it. It was very quiet as it does not seem to be very well known to most tourists.
