Night and day time experiences very different. Bustling after dark, full or weddings during the day to take advantage of the superb photographic scenery and backdrops.

If the weather is good this area is worth the wander. Pack a picnic and stop for lunch in the greased area or grab a Starbucks. Shows off the Port skyline nicely and its free

Best spot to view Kobe city, both provides amazing views during daytime and nighttime, personally prefer the night view, spectacular view without crowds. Lots of shopping and dining choices, could take boat rides at the quay next to it,

With a chilled atmosphere but lots to do, from the port tower to boat tours to shopping to various different cuisines, there's a lot to do in a small space.

This iconic place is a great place for kids. I didn’t feel there was much to do for adults. The shopping was okay, lots of kiddie shops, cut things though. Lots of restaurant options.

I recommend having a map or an idea of where shops are to not get overwhelmed and/or lost. But I guess that getting lost is part of the experience. Research a little about the food they offer if you are new to Japanese foods.

it's mostly new constructions with malls and restaurants. We were staying nearby so it was just a stroll, but there's no need to actually go there if not staying in the neighbourhood.

This is the best place to end your evening, as the whole harbor is filled with colorful lights and the atmosphere is very calming after a busy day. In the summer months you can actually see the glowing jellyfish in the harbor as you walk...More

It's a nice waterfront shopping, dining and walking area with a park, several restaurants and a few shopping centers nearby. Recommend to have walk and at least spend half a day (or the whole day) there to experience everything.

MK Taxi has a door-to-door shuttle service to/from KIX. it's 2300 yen - well worth the money. I use this service all the time and they're great! Check this link - Google MK Taxi Skygateshuttle Osaka.
