I explored the garden based on a recommendation from a friend who has visited the city many times. I am so glad I went. I stayed at the Crowne Plaza and purchased a round trip cable car ticket (the hotel offers a discount). The walk up would have taken 50 minutes, and I didn't have much time. So I took... More

interesting place to visit if you are a herb fan. there are alot of different species of herbs you can find in this garden and some i never even knew existed. there's a good scenic spot near the top (you can take a cable car up) which gives you a good enough reason for heading to the summit already. we... If you love the scent, the beauty of flower, it's worth a visit here. There are plenty of kinds of herbal grass, trees ... The rose garden is beautiful, the art of flower presentation is excellent.

We took the cable car to the top, walked halfway down , and took the cable car down to the ground. The ride is smooth and very ordinary. The view from the top is wonderful!!! I good place to enjoy the cool air on top. Nothing much on the herb garden. Sitting in the open air is a better enjoyment.

This could not be simpler. A few minutes from the station and you are on the rope way going up the side of a magnificent mountain covered in the colours of autumn (we went in November). The view is spectacular and the walk from the top to the middle station to catch the rope way back meanders through a wonderful... More

Visited Kobe due to change in plan. A good change nevertheless. Reached here in the late afternoon unfortunately and it was getting slightly dark when we reached the top by the cable car. It was absolutely stunning view of the city from the cable car itself. The stroll down to experience the herb garden is serene and peaceful as one... More

We took the lift up and walked back. We even packed a picnic lunch but bought our drinks from the cafe at the top. It was off tourist season, but still beautiful with people about. So many staff also working on the gardens. You could simply pick a spot and watch the day pass you by.

My husband and I visited the herb garden during our stay at Kobe. Its a great place to spend a few hours. The views are amazing. You can also get something to eat and buy souvenirs from the shop. An enjoyable way to spend a few hours.

The Herb Garden and Ropeway is totally worth a visit! It is not expensive, good value for money. The Herb Garden is amazing, very well kept. There is a glasshouse area with a restaurant with the most amazing views. There is a lovely herb shop to shop for goodies. The Cable Car is great as well, quite long with off... More

This is a great way to spend a few hours. We took the cables up the mountain and walked halfway down via the various gardens. Use the tourist coupons available at any tourist office for a twenty percent discount on the fare.
