Not a lot of "unique" stores along the street. Many pharmacies, tax free shops, 7-11 though. There is a knife store that seems to specialise in sushi knifes and such but was not open when we were there in the evening. Else, it could have been nice to buy a traditional knife home. We brought more stuff from the local... More

My sole purpose was to buy some knives at the famous Miyabun shop - and I was NOT disappointed. The range of knives, scissors and virtually anything else with a blade was breathtaking. As a very amatuer sushi cook I was most impressed with the service and patient advice from the staff. As one particular knife I wanted was not... More

I enjoyed walking down this open yet covered street mall. Lots of places to eat and drink many stores. It wasn't raining but if it were this wound be a perfect place to go shopping.

Very long street for shopping. Many drug stores line this shopping street, don't need to go elsewhere to shop. Covered roof walkway is exceptionally good for me during the winter month. There's a ramen shop that's very good here, a must try..don't know the name in eng, but it's right next to a shop called gelateria.

A nice break from the slippery wet icy streets and yet able to shop. Personally I preferred this open air but covered shopping area than the underground ones. I found those underground places too hot. Lots of shopping, food and amusement arcade to enjoy ourselves.

Good for local bargains and souvenirs, it runs the length of the shopping district and bisects Pole Town the underground shopping area that runs between the train stations

Big selection of places to eat or grab a beer. Souvenir stores were rip offs full of bus groups. Many of the places to eat were very reasonable prices, but I was too full to try any of them. Saw a number of people eating ice cream while the temperatures were below 32F--0C. Didn't quite understand that. Easy access from... More
