After checking out the winter snow festival in Odori Park, we found an entrance to Aurora Town near the Sapporo TV Tower. This was a great place to warm up and we hit two different restaurants for dinner and later for dessert and coffee. I was also able to do some shopping (picked up some loose leaf tea in a... More

We actually walked a distance from our hotel ( at Sapporo station ) to check out this shopping area but I think it's just a regular underground shopping street with various small shops. I would not specially walk over just to shop unless your hotel is at this end of the shopping strip. I would say that the shops are... More

Auroro town is a nice underground shopping street on your way from Sapporo JR station to Susukino and offers different shops and restaurants for you to explore

Aurora Town is connected to the massive pedestrian underground spanning from Bus Center Mae to Sapporo Station and such. It is nearer to Odori Station and the are many stores here. You may not want to come specifically to shop, but rather shop if you happen to pass by when walking the pedestrian underground.

As my title suggests, this underground shopping is connected to Odori subway. You probably won't miss it if you happen to alight at Odori station.

We were looking for something different from from other shopping areas, unfortunately, it is disappointed. Lots of restaurants for sure. Stores are selling daily regular stuff. If you just want to wander around in rainy day, that's ok. Otherwise, don't waste your time there.

This town allows you to shop while walking from sapporo station to odori. Not as big as pole town but still have some shops that may interest you.

We picked up a lot of household essentials like lotion, eye drops, medicine, Japanese Ben Gay, etc here and best of all they are tax free if you buy over 5000yen. Save yourselves 8%. But they seal all the items in a bag and you can't open it until you get home.

This is an underground mall immediately below the Oodoori Main Street (From East to West) in Sapporo. It’s about 300 meters (3 blocks) long from the Sapporo TV Tower area to the Sapporo Ekimae Doori (Sapporo Railway Station Street (From North to South). It is connected to the “Pole Town” to the south at its western end. Our overall impression... More
