If you have only little time to spare, this is the place to go to catch a quick view of Sappiro. Though not as high as Mt Moiwa, you can still see Sapporo on a clear day. The ride up on a chair lift takes...More

Our tour guide suggested stopping here and it was worth the stop. You can take a gondola to the top for an excellent view of the city.

I have enjoyed the quick ski lift up to the observatory area. Coffee is good up there too at reasonable prices.

Our snow festival tour included a visit to this observatory which provided a great view of the city (it was a clear winter day). There are also panoramic photos with landmarks noted to help orient those unfamiliar with the city. I understand that the ski...More

Went here during snow fest season. Nicely packed with snow. Saw the jump that was used during 1972 jump. They have built an museum. Great place to visit.

Sorry, I don't have an answer for you. I remember seeing Mount Moiwa from the top of the observatory, and even though they are in the same area, Google map route shows 3 transfer on the bus line. I would have to guess that... More

There is no age limit, and actually some people brought toys to play in with in the snow when I was there.
