Had a great time walking both directions on this one day, from the Shangri La Hotel to the Gardens and back. The next day rented Bikes and took the Causeway over to the Pagoda and back, it was my first time riding a bike in 22 yrs and it went just fine. Its quite busy and there are tour buses... More

It is one of the best Causeways in China. Had an excellent time spending time away from the city's traffic. Overall beautiful locations. and great place for some excellent photography.

This is a good-looking causeway to take a long walk on. The lake is visible on both sides and the causeway gives a superb view of the lake, especially at dusk.

The Su causeway is a bit long for walking, but makes for a very pleasant ride on a bicycle, with pretty views out over the water on both sides. Pushing your bike up the steep side of some of the bridges gets interesting. Also watch out for manic electric carts and huge tour groups snaking along the road.

We loved strolling along part of Su Causeway, which was also where we hopped on one of the electric boats and headed to Three Pools Mirroring the Moon.

The causeway nearly spans the whole diameter of XiHu, and is quite a long walk. I only went part of the way near the Bai Causeway/Solitary Hill end, and it was still a nice relaxing walk. There are many views of XiHu and lots of good photos!

Beautiful area to visit to take pictures near the West Lake. This is the location pictured on the Chinese 1 Yuan. A must see if you have the time.

I visited Hangzhou on one of its hottest days on record so activity was going to be hot. At least Sudi is 80% in the shade with numerous willows and other trees flanking the path. Not many people ride their bikes along here (at least when I went) and the yellow elongated golf carts are driven with care. I walked... More

From the map it seems very long. But worthwhile to walk across. Many local people walk there for exercise. Also very good view for the lake.

for a crazy thing, go and see the sunrise in hangzhou, here would be a good place, for couples, you could just sit on the chair alongside the lake, enjoying every single moment facing the beautiful lake
