It's quite easy to use the lift take you to the top. There are 5 floors and the lift takes you to the 4th floor. Just need to climb one more floor then you will have chance to see the full view of the lake and the city. 40RMB for the entrance fee. Worth it!

A good place for sunset. Very wide n detail view of the west lake. Avoid during china public holiday as crowd will be insane. Nearby there a place for a good variety of food.

I saw Leifeng Pagoda on top of a hill while I was on the lake. I decided to visit. I think that the entrance fee was about 20-40 RMB. I got to the pagoda just as the lights were turned on for the night. I will say that it looks amazing lit up. I felt a bit put out to... More

The views are great ... on a clear day. There are escalators and lifts to get you to the top of the Pagoda. It is quite well organized and worth anoit an hour. Take time to look at the great wooden carvings on Level 2 which tells the story / legend behind the place. Tip: Wide angle lens eg. 20mm... More

Just beside the West Lake. A tall tower of about four floors. Tourists can go to the highest floor to see a full picture of the West Lake. It is also one of the Ten Views of West Lake--Leifeng Xizhao, the sunset of Leifeng Tower.

From a distance, this tower is very impressive, but it is a modern, concrete reconstruction. Best viewed from a distance, I think, although there are good views from the top.

We stayed only at ground level of the pagoda to view the place and learned its history, knowing there will be plenty more of walking ahead. Furthermore, the whole place is so misty that the West Lake cannot be seen clearly. Being a tourist spot, this place is crowded with people.

This is a modern replica of the tower (pagoda) that stood at this location, and the ruins are embedded within. You can take an escalator and elevators to the top, but it's only around 10-12 stories. You can do it! Super views of West Lake and the surrounding area: mountains, monasteries, downtown. A temple and a few shops are at... More
