You can see excellent view of the city and the lake from here. There is two ways of going up the hill for Dragon gate, cable ways and stairs. It will be convenient if you take cable way for going up and stairs for coming down. Journey by cable ways was exciting. It is a open type not close car... More

This is a great way to see the outskirts of Kunming and visit shrines along with other tourists. We took the gondola across the lake, after visiting the ehtnic museum. My husband's grandfather had visited the Dragon Gate shrine in the 1930's and wrote about seeing Kunming in the distance, now the town has grown toward Xishan, and there are... More

I was taken there without knowing what it was and what to expect. The place turned out to be great. Filled with small temples throughout the place is worthwhile to visit and access tickets are cheap.

this is nice place in Kunming area. If you don't like to climb stears, than it's not for you. the view is good but don't excpect to amazing "dragon gate". it's just a small temple. I suggest to come in the afternoon for better view on the Dianchi lake and Kunming city.

Stunning views of Kunming from the top of this mountain. Easy taxi ride out to this site from Kunming. It's worth buying a ticket that includes the bus to the cable car, the cable car ride and the walk around the mountain sites. A really lovely spot to visit. Highly recommended.

Good exercise walking a lot of steps but be careful on slippery steps during journey. Take rest during breaks if needs. At certain point of journey, can have your photo taken and be collected at end of journey. No obligation on your part to purchase the photos, Reasonable price at 20 Rmb per photo print.

"Long Men" was, so the automated guide says, built in the hopes of allowing Yunnan to produce a top scholar (Zhuang Yuan). Did it work? Apparently, and so everyone who passes by touches the "dragon pearl" (not actually a pearl) at the top of the gate in the hopes of getting some of that luck for themselves. Park is generally...
