Our Taxi driver got us entry for 100 as against the 130 normal entry but it was without the guide. A good English speaking guide would have made it more interesting? Nice place, gardens average. There is a new multi-media area which was interesting and...More

You have to take a guided tour to go inside. It is a hassle and a waste of time with the guided tour since there is not much too see and really not much to explain. They just want to make sure you spend more...More

Not sure why we visited this place as there are nothing much to see. I was expecting to see some historical items and listen to some history, but we only had a very brief summary which is nothing to shout about. They were proud of...More

You pay 130rmb and after inside you have nothing to do or to see. In the middle you have small mountain...you can climb and take pics of the town around...only that! Avoid the place, save time and money.

Most expensive entrance fee in Guilin (130 RMB) but poor attraction. Actually there is very little to see but what is there is mostly fake. Only interesting part is climbing up the hill and making some pictures. Better to avoid.

Save yourself the entrance fee if you don't have Chinese speaking children age 6-12. There is a show filled guided tour designed for children, non of it in English, nor are the signs at the displays. The buildings are all "renovated", the gardens are boring...More

The Solitary Beauty Peak is of course the highlight but the tour around the palace complex was also interesting and insightful.

The Solitary Beauty Peak is the thing to do/see here. Climb (lots of steps) to the top for a great view over Guilin, its setting, the mountains/peaks that surround it and the river. Worth a half day. Nice park for a stroll, but the Peak...More
