This war memorial is slightly different than the many you see around the former USSR. It has more thought and grief to it than the usual victory monuments.

The place is quite nice and a very respectful memorial. The atmosphere around the place is quite peaceful as well. Worth having a quick look when visiting the city.

Spectacular war memorial pretty close to the city centre. Well worth a visit. No English explanation tho. Make sure you read about it before visiting.

I was impressed by the size of this Memorial. I couldn't read the writing, however I think it is to men from the city who served and died in various wars in the past.
