Nice cathedral, the ice sculptures outside were very special and it was a shame they were not lit at night. This was one of nicest cathedrals in Siberia

We enjoyed a small mass while we were there. Beautiful wood interiors and stained-glass windows. Worth a 10 minute visit just to enjoy.

It is small but beautiful cathedral, painted new and colorful. The Angara river besides gave a special reflection to the walls. There was not much people inside the cathedral but very spiritual atmosphere. I met a girl there resembling the Vermeer’s paining ‘Girl with a Pearl Earring’.

A 300 year old cathedral, beautifully decorated, it is a monument to Russian piety as well as the restoration skills of the people.

Nice Russian Orthodox Church / Cathedral, very close to the war memorial, Kirov Park, Cossack statue and the Angara River.

This was the first Russian Orthodox cathedral I ever visited. As luck would have it, a group of 3 nuns were singing when we entered. Absolutely beautiful experience. Be aware that women are expected to cover their heads- if you don't have anything to cover with, don't worry, there are "loaner scarves" at the entrance. They also have "loaner wrap... More

Even though I've seen my fair share of Russian orthodox cathedral, this one with white walls and red ornaments is quite unique. It's on the Square of Three Cathedrals - this one, another Orthodox and a Catholic one. One of the places in Irkutsk I'd recommend seeing.

We visited this church with our kids. We liked the calm and the devotion of the people there. Outside the church observe the colorful paintings.

One of so many beautiful churches in Irkutsk. Ifmyiunare lucky, you will hear the bells calling the faithful to prayer. Stop, listen. You don't have to be "Orthodox" to appreciate the grandeur.
