Just very near to the Chesme Palace we visited, is located this charming, picturesque Chesme Church. That is one real fairytale gothic church, very unusual and outstanding in its view. We admitted at the times, that we haven't seen such sacred place until the moment we found ourselves in the front of the Chesme Church. It was also built as... More

It is the cute colored church I have ever seen. It is ok to visit but there's nothing else in the area. From the station, there is about 15 or 20-minute walk.

You will find this pretty sugar box church not far from The main road from the city centre to the airport. Used to be a church for the tsar for short stops when I traveling to and from summer palaces. Behind the church a small cemetery for soldiers killed in war. Unique architecture. Well worth seeing.

If you be near by - Enter. Small but very decorative like a neighborhood praying place. Old ladies and nice gentleman. Smiling faces, and many interesting pictures.

On the way to Peterhoff, my wife and I were taken to this pretty, little historic church. Reminded us of a decorated cake. An active church contains interesting icons. Nice picture opportunity.

When I was planning my trip to Russia, I came across the name, Chesma church. Chesma was where my entire family came from, as Christian refugees from the Middle East. I was stunned. I recall from 2003 in a Chios Greek book about The war of Count Orlov off the coast of Russia. I did research on it and then... More

one of my favourite spots in town. sadly none of the original interior survived to this day. yet the newly instaled decoration inside is beautiful. and this picturesque church is oh so sweet and oh so worth a visit!

Came along with group tour. A short stop couple photos took before heading to LED airport. Had no time to visit inside. Weird architecture design look like an accordian music instrument or a strawberry happy birthday cake where candle stick on top. Small church in big lawn area.

This fully functional Russian Orthodox Church is unusually attractive with its candy stripes . In any other city this would have been a frontline attraction but this is St Petersburg . Built from 1774 to 1780 in honor of Russia's victory over the Turks at the Battle of Cesme [ 1770 ] . Its relatively remote location is due to... More

When I saw a photo of this church, I thought, oh I want to see that with my own eyes! Little did Iknow it would cost me close to $40. I took the metro which was the closest to it, and then arranged a taxi for the remainder, as I had already walked too far that day, and I knew... More
