"It's a kind of magic" says the "Queen" song right at is begining... It is truly a kind of magic what you feal at this museum, a place for kings and queens. But it is not only here, it's everywhere, all around this magnificent city!

The Hermitage is a beautiful museum and is worth the entry fee. It is even free with a student id. We came specifically to see the peacock chime. We were very disappointed that it did not chime at 7 as we were told. All in...More

Didn't go into the Hermitage as we had time constraints entering and leaving Russia. I would definitely recommend going to have a look at the architecture and surrounding areas.

Lots of items on show not only Russian but from around the world, also excellent arts from famous people, get there early as the crowds build up to enter.

Hi! Don't know about the guided tour at the entrance as we had booked through a local travel agent to procure the visa as well. The audio guide is pretty helpful though the museum is too big to be covered in a day & a guide... More
