Normally I don't spend much time in museums or stately homes but this is such a beautiful and iconic site I spent over two hours visiting as much as possible. Exhibits range from 400BC to modern Russia. Around £8 each is an absolute bargain.

I was here and it's very nice in winter fountains doesn't work but the place is amazing. The girls In the cathedral are not helpful at all and they do not provide any information. It's a shame they pay to people who doesn't even help.

There is nothing I can add to what has been said and written about the Hermitage. If you are in Saint Petersburg, you must go. But I must add that for the true experience of Russia, you must also go to see the Russian Museum.

It's a big space.. And the center of the city.. All the major sightseeing places are near by.. It has a 360 beautiful view from all sides.. Pigeons all over.. Offers horse rides and horse cart rides..

Hermitage IS the MOST beautiful museum in the world. Spending one minute per piece of art would require someone to spend 11 years there. But above all collections there, the museum itself is an architectural piece of art.

This really is a must see if in town but to see it properly, you will need two days. Amazing art with the royal rooms, spread over miles and miles of corridors and rooms. Great museum,

This is a huge and at the same time impressive museum, which cannot be “finished” in a single day. Paintings by Leonardo da Vinci, antique statues, the unique mechanical "Peacock" clock and art objects of ancient Iran are collected under one roof. You should definitely...More

I dont know what to say as I did not go in. From the outside it looked nice. Most likely would have looked even nicer from the inside, but I can not confirm it.

Hi! Don't know about the guided tour at the entrance as we had booked through a local travel agent to procure the visa as well. The audio guide is pretty helpful though the museum is too big to be covered in a day & a guide... More
