Center "Pushkinskaya - 10" is an interesting art space for fans of contemporary art. Includes museum areas, two dozen galleries, and an art boutique. We walked around everything and got acquainted with great interest. The art center made an impression and I liked it.

This maze of museum/nightclub/gallery/cafe/shops is a must-see if you are interested in modern culture and visiting St. Petersburg. The venue consists of two buildings with a common back yard. Inside both of the buildings different artist have decorated their open apartments/galleries. If you are in the neighborhood, you should also visit the Loft Project Etagi down the street at Ligovsky prospekt 74.

The museum and galleries are closed on Mondays and Tuesdays, and only operate 15:00-19:00 the rest of the week. Access the centre from the courtyard through the arch of Ligovskiy prospect 53 (opposite of the big shopping mall Galleria and the Moscow railway station).

Any art lover will enjoy this place. All the little ally ways and walls are filled with street art. You can even go into a small gallery (in a pretty sketchy building), but my favorite was the yellow submarine with the Beatles tribute.

I went here by myself. It is very confusing to navigate. I ended up making friends with another museum goer and it was easier to walk around with the both of us.
The issue is that it's an apartment building. When you get up to the floor, there are a bunch of closed doors. We ended up trying to open the doors... sometimes they would open. When they did we ended up in an apartment of an artist who would then show us their work. It would of been more awkward if we were alone doing this.
We also got to see two shows that were opening in the evening.
The coolest thing we did is we were invited to a Beatles Concert in the Beatles Museum. We had so much fun. We were in a cramped apartment listening to Russian's play Russian music.

This place might be good for kids.. There are a lot of stairs they can run up and down and it has graffiti. You would have to gauge it on how much art they would see.

It definitely helped that I speak Russia.

I spent two memorable months at SPAR from mid September to mid November in 2017. Located within the renown Pushkinskya 10 Art Center, the residency was both a personal and artistic inspiration. SPAR is right in the middle of much bustling city activity, and close to a major subway station and bus stop so it's easy and inexpensive to explore many areas that are not far away but yet very different than St. Petersburg. In the city are many quality and world-class museums, concert halls and playhouses. Director Anastasia Patsey lead several cultural excursions that made it enjoyable and informative for the residents to get to know the surroundings. Also we received regular information about local happenings, so there is every opportunity to keep busy if that's what you want to do.

Artistically I was inspired by the art and energy at Pushinskya 10, and allowed the freedom to take my work in a new direction--one that I have continued on for over one year and foresee staying with the remainder of my career. When it came time for my exhibition, Anastasia and the staff came through for me in a huge way. I had a great space, was extremely well-supported and made to feel important. It just doesn't get much better than that!

Because of its size and with so much going on, Pushkinskya 10 is generally active with people, especially on weekends. This is an absolutely must-see stop on the St. Petersburg art circuit, so that comes as no surprise. I estimated 500 people saw my work, and this was not even the busy season. If all that doesn't add up to an amazing and valuable experience, I don't know what does. Simply put, I plan to return to SPAR, which is probably the best thing you can say about any experience.

Very much recommend hanging out here if you're tired of the same old tourist stuff -- atmosphere is very different. I came here on a Wednesday afternoon but I couldn't really figure out how to get into the studios and galleries. I shopped for a while at Baza, the record store inside the complex (the clerk was super helpful and gave me suggestions about what to get). The attached bar, Fish Fabrique, seemed like it would be a good place to hang out in the evenings. I tried to ring the bell to get into the John Lennon Museum (music was playing loudly, so I know there was someone in there!), but no one came to the door. I wandered around the buildings but none of the doors seemed to be open. Still, it was cool to see the artwork and history on the hallways.

Note the entrance is on 53 Ligovsky Prospekt.

If you want to see true subculture of Russia and to join to art legend places welcome to the Pushkinskaya 10. This is art centre, concert place, bar, cafe and (attention) street by John Lennon! (Special for fans of Beatles) It is historical venue where started your way 'akvarium' and other Russians arts in the 90th of years. There are near by square Vosstaniya and railway station Moskovskiy, but territory is real mystery, you fall in other measurement. You have to visit this unique place in order to realize and fill true underground 'Piter'.

Underground, edgy small galleries, museum for nonconformist art, a bohemian tea house. Labyrinthe-like buildings, closed doors despite the opening hours, russian texts. Some exhibitions interesting, some not, some closed. Still a must.
