This place has a church, which is small but cozy and beautiful and you see lots of people always paying tribute.

I visit this place in Jan 2014. Whole Murmansk was covered with snow. Amazing view of nature. There is a light house, a huge anchor and a memorial of soldiers.

The "lighthouse" is an iconic landmark with a great overview of the harbor and estuary area near the city. If in town, go by for the view.

An appropriate place, with on the background the sound of the sea, to commemorate the heroes and sailors. Close by is also the Kursk momument.

Take a slow walk over the steps of local wedding spot. There's a huge anchor, a lighthouse, ever closed for admittance and a church and part of infamous Kursk submarine, as a memorial.

They were in the process of painting and doing general maintenance when we visited, but the site is worth seeing.

Nothing to write home about and the best bit is probably the panoramic view. The Kursk submarine cabin has been laid to rest and looks oddly out of place next to the fake lighthouse.

We had a fantastic tour guide that took us first into the chapel and then off to the tower where they have I think four or five books with all the names and dates of people who has not returned (Died at Sea) from sea.
