Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

A bridge at this site has always been a centuries-old dream of local residents. It is surprising that even in Soviet times, the time of gigantic construction projects and megaprojects, this dream was never realized, although it was approached several times. The design of the bridge was entrusted to the Giprostroymost Institute, founded immediately after the war in Leningrad, which designed such iconic objects as the bridge across the Volga in Ulyanovsk and across the Amur. The Golden Bridge was built in parallel with the Russian Bridge from 2008 to 2012. Taking into account the geology, the width of the strait and the inability to stop traffic across the Bosphorus Strait, an arched bridge was impossible in this place, so they chose a suspension cable-stayed bridge. In cable-stayed bridges, the tension in the cables and the compression from the pillars work together to neutralize the force of gravity. The steel of the bridge was, of course, domestic. in Nakhodka.. But the cable-stays for the bridge were made by the French. If they were laid out in length, it would be just a marathon distance - 42 kilometers. The lifespan of the cable-stays is also impressive - 100 years. And, of course, the choice of a cable-stayed bridge was preferable from an aesthetic point of view. view. The pylons of the bridge have become the dominant feature of the Zolotoy Rog Bay. It looks great both from the city and from Russky Island. Especially in the evening.

The Golden Bridge is in my opinion the most important attraction of Vladivostok. It is one of the largest cable-stayed bridges in the world and this powerful structure was built in just four years. It opened on 11 August 2012. The bridge spans Golden Horn Bay and is 1,388.09 metres long. The scale of the construction is impressive, the bridge is built taking into account the natural features of Vladivostok, and can withstand wind gusts of up to 47 m/s and earthquakes of up to 8 points. About 20 million rubles were spent on construction. Maybe that's why it got its name Golden. The grand structure is admirable and proud.

Well, it's a view you couldn't miss if you are in town. There're many ways to experience the view or the bridge for that matter. You can see it from the port area (town center), walk Svetlanskaya street all the way till you stand right at the bottom of it, ride the furnicular and go up Eagle's Nest Hill (in my opinion, the best top view and where most photos post here are taken), or even a bus/taxi ride to cross the bridge and back!
Getting to pre-read the history before you see, walk or touch the bridge will add more flavor to your experience.

When you cross the bridge by car (do it with clear weather) look to your left when you’re going into town. It is not possible
to cross the bridge by foot. It is to dangerous that’s why it is forbidden nowadays. If you’re in town go the central treinstation. From there you’re in the middle of the town with a lot to see and easy to walk.

The second biggest bridge at Vladivostok. Beside Russian brigdge, this is also astonishing one. Best views for the bridge are from the hill.

Spectacular sight and worth walking along the Marine Terminal to see the variety of shipping beneath the bridge as well as driving over it.

I was stunned when friends drove across the Golden Bridge here in Vladivostok as we were going to the Immigration Office. What a magnificent and beautiful bridge it is. I'd say it is a do-not-miss attraction IF you have a way to cross it in a motor vehicle or to view it from one of the viewpoints that look down upon the bridge. I've been able to cross it several times and to look down upon it both during the day and during the dark of night time when the lights of Vladivostok are a stunning sight to behold.
