If in Yaroslavl you must visit this magnificent Cathedral. There has been a church on this site since the 13th centenary. The first burnt down and the second was destroyed in Stalin's time. However a local billionaire gained permission to rebuild and the Cathedral was...More

A church stood here for near on 500 years but in an act of unnecessary spite was destroyed in the Stalinist period. This rebuild was completed in 2010, and does a fair job of replication. The giant bell remains on the ground. The guide did...More

It is the newest church in the city. They did a good job building it. There is just no history behind the church.

This is a newly built church built with money donated by a Russian businessman. We went on a sunny day with the light reflecting off the white walls and golden domes, it took some amazing pictures.

This is really the spot to visit. The location is ideal, the church is very beautiful and very light insight when you compare with other Russina churches. And for me the thing that was the most special: the holy trinity is female over here.

This new church was built in 2010 on the same spot that the old church (which Stalin destroyed) stood. It was built to celebrate the 1000 anniversary of the town and is also close to their city war memorial. Very poignant.
