Since 1960, the Lomakov family has been collecting and restoring antique cars and motorcycles, but due to bureaucratic problems, the Museum of Antique Cars and Motorcycles was not opened until the late 1987. It is the first museum of antique cars and motorcycles in Russia. It is the first unstate (private) museum in Russia from 1917. The first hall of museum is now built. The museum's collection includes more than 120 antique cars and motorcycles. To support his museum, founder and director Dmitry Lomakov rents his cars to film studios and to events, and his restoration shop, and his consultation about classic cars, and sale spare parts for retro cars. All for museum.

The Musem is easily accessible by metro, but the photos on the website already several years old. Outside of the building there are some rust buckets under a layer of snow - it resembles a car cemetery. Historical and amazing car museum. I'm telling you people you will love it if you love cars !! The only problem you may face is that they don't speak English but if you love cars and history this is the place!

Big collection of soviet era vechicles. But, if you need more - anover good car museum situated nearby (walking distance at 20 min), google - autoreview museum. And a very nice park Kuzminki in this area too.
