I visited this museum specifically to see the two rooms of Roerich paintings. A small collection but we'll worth seeing if you like Roerich. I zipped through the rest of the museum but looked like some incredible artefacts and art from all parts of Asia....More

A fairly extensive collection, well displayed. They seem to be about 25% of the way through a dual language project. Most of the major intro posters and some of the display cards are Russian/English. The exhibits are well worthwhile even without the translations.

A museum of Eastern culture & history. Divided into parts of Iranian, Chinese, Koraen history. Historical items found in the relevant areas are displayed within each part. Really interesting things can be found inside including paintings, traditional clothes, firearms, ritual religious items, household items etc....More

A museum dedicated to oriental art - a very different and fresh museum. Arts from all over asia including : Buddhism, Persia, Caucasus, Mongolia, Korea and many many more. The gallery of Roerich is amazing. The museum is in russian, however.

I liked the museum and what it had to offer. Non-Russian speaking tourists might have a problem with temporary exhibitions as they are only marked in Russian, the rest of the museum is marked in both English and Russian. A comprehensive scheme of the museum...More

small museum in the center of Moscow with a very interesting collection of central- Asia art and artefacts. Plus temporary exhibition: now about Tylos -archeologic history of the Kingdom of Bahrain- very instructive and very well done.
