As you're walking up Tverskaya ulitsa this is one of the sites you'll notice. It's an interesting looking bronze statue of a man on a horse. A quick stop for a few pictures should be sufficient.

Very nice statue, fitting homage to the man considered to be a founder of Moscow. Located near the centre so it's easy to reach. Worth checking out.

Yuri (the long armed) is considered the founder of Moscow, although he actually only ordered the building of the first fortifications, a wooden kremlin, in 1156. This state was erected in 1954. Worth stopping by to admire.
