The highlight of the museum is the panorama Borodino created by Russian battle-painter Franz Roubaud in 1912. The museum exposition is dedicated to the Russian victory over Napoleon's Great Army in 1812.

While the story, like most wars, is a sad story, it is delivered in very level headed way. The panorama on the top floor displaying a 360 view of the battle with appropriate props.

The main part of the museum is a huge realistic panorama depicting the Borodino Battle during Russia's war with Napoleon in 1812. It's well done but I don't think it's a must-see if you aren't a fan of panoramas/wars/Napoleon, etc. If you are, you might...More

Interesting exhibition around Napoleon's attempts to take Russia. Highlight of the visit is viewing the 150 foot long painting of the battle. Fantastic to see. Its a little bit out of the centre but easy to get to by Metro.
