Despite the name that infers one thing, one must step back in history and go to the Armoury. You find silver goblets and plates used by Czars, royal clothing and carriages and the breathtaking beautiful Faberge eggs.

This is a magnificent collection of gold and silver artifacts. These are the crown jewels of Russia. Definitely worth the admission price to have a look at this spectacular museum.

The entrance to the State Armoury is located at the corner of the Kremlin at the bottom of Alexander Gardens and there are several convenient Metro stations. You will need to obtain your ticket first at the office further up Alexander Gardens. There is much to see but the highlight must be the collection of Faberge Eggs. The cost is... More

We booked our tickets on-line so that all we had to do was collect the tickets rather than join the endless queue to buy tickets. Behind the Kremlin, in the Alexander Park is the glass building where tickets are bought or collected. There is also a gift shop where I bought a Guidebook to carry with me when looking at... More

A great museum that houses many of the Tsars jewels. Very impressive is the armoury itself with armour from Russia as well as other European powers. The audio which is included with the entrance fee is very good

You need time to go through the armoury since there is so much to see. It's like the Smithsonian, incredible treasures from the past.

It is a MUST site to visit in Moscow and in the Kremlin. Two stores full of daily life elements used by the Tsar family. Rich cloths, tools jewlery, furniture, the famous eggs and a lot of very rich goldenware, silverware, vases, gadgets and much more. Photography is forbidden. It is almost at the end of Kremlin visit and near... More
