After the fall of the USSR they retired the statues of the architects of the revolution to the park. And there are things that really strike you about them. The smiles, the mark of purpose and vision on the faces, the high foreheads of intellect,...More

We visited in August on a Wednesday. Although the lawns were tidy, the flower beds were straggly and there was nothing happening in the park. Compared to other parks we had visited, Gorky was a bit under whelming and tired. May come alive on weekends

This historical park is great for an afternoon stroll. Really cool for people watching especially on the weekends. Many events and artists. Take a walk along the river and see the sights in this famous park. Enjoy!

This is THE place to go of a weekend in Moscow to people watch as it feels like every Muscovite is out too. The young women dressed to the nines in ridiculously high shoes and short skirts, hanging onto the arms of young men desperately...More

We visited for an afternoon with our children. Such a big park, but very relaxing and very pretty. Our children really enjoyed playing at the children's playground while we enjoyed the opportunity to rest our tired feet for a little bit.

We spent a delightful afternoon wandering around on a beautiful sunny day. Watched the river go by, had a nice lunch, an ice cream later on, and just enjoyed the day. It is much bigger than we thought. Would love to return soon.

See what locals do on a weekday evening here. You can also join in with them, whether it be just walking and appreciating the river view and trees, skateboarding, photographing, watching kids in the playground.
