That chunk of territory now is a part of Gorky park. You can try and combine your visit but for more joy I would recommend to schedule Neskuchny sad as a separate visit. It is nice to go there during hot summer day to relax and slow walk with a stop in a coffee shop. Very recommend going there in early Fall to enjoy yellow-orange-red leaves foliage. The bottom line - it is relaxation, slow, quiet time with natural beauty!

This is a remnant of old palace park of the 19th century. A couple of historic buildings, one of them hosting the President of the Academy of Science, can be seen, but not visited. The park is very tranquil in mid weekdays, quite busy on weekends. A good walk along the bank of Moskva river - if you are into it, you can go from the sightseeing spot by the University to Kremlin (ca. 7 km) or vice versa.

This is one of my favourite parks in the whole of Moscow, a city blessed with many lovely, green areas. Located next to Gorky Park and along the banks of the river, it is easily accessed. Although I like Gorky, I prefer Neskuchny because it’s much more peaceful, being free of the cafes and playgrounds that abound in Gorky. As you stroll through the woods it’s hard to believe you’re in the centre of such a huge city as it is so quiet. After walking around Gorky, make the effort to stroll around Neskuchny too, you’re unlikely to be disappointed.

When one thinks of Moscow, they don't think of green spaces, most likely. Well, Neskuchny sad offers an incredibly large forest to get away from the hustle and bustle of the capital. For those of you that like to get some exercise in, plenty of visitors are skating/biking/skateboarding as well as meandering through, by the river. Come by and be one with nature!

Head here for shade and a peaceful walk. A mostly wooded area, with nice paths and bridges. Wonderful all year round. The park shares a border with the much more hectic and busy Gorky Park, and works as a nice respite from crowds of young people on bikes.

This is one of the oldest parks in Moscow, if not the oldest. It is adjacent to the Central Gorky Park and already considered a part of it, although there are no more different parks than these two. Neskuchny sad began as an old park around the noble estate (more precisely, the three estates). But I like to go into it not through the central gate, which is located opposite the Textile Institute and opens the "official" part of the palaces and other related buildings, forming a fairly traditional complex, but from the metro station "Leninsky Prospekt", from the far edge, where there is almost only a Okhotnichiy Domik (Hunting Lodge), in which is still being made the famous television program " What? Where? When?"Here you can really walk. Here it is noticeable how the park was arranged, as ravines and slope to the Moscow river were "disguised" in the terraces. It is not surprising that this corner of the park was chosen by various nonconformists like diggers and tolkienists. I don't belong to either of them, but I understand them. The choice is obvious.

Another Moscow gem. You can keep it at par with the Gorky park innterms of natural beauty. After the Red square trip, two thinks that you must do in Moscow are a visit to the Gorky park as well as Neskuchny Sad.

Oasis, in the middle of urban desert. Highly recommended
