National Park Losiny Ostrov is the larges forest massif of Moscow with the area of 128 km2. It was created on August 24, 1983. This unique territory encloses miniature samples of all landscapes of Central Russia: coniferous, mixed, and broad-leaved forests, grasslands, wetlands, ponds, and streams. EXCURSIONS: A unique 4-hour guided tour programm: - Visiting elks and deers at a specially designed bio station; - Enjoy remarkable landscapes and rare plants. The National Park is a home for over 240 species of animals: amphibians and reptiles, elks, wild bears, dears, foxes and small carnivores and rodents. - Horse riding in a sleigh/wagon; - Lunch in a Russian hut with a stove incl. traditional drinks and pancakes while watching a cultural performance.

We went on august and weather was very nice. We did horse riding too (Конный двор "Яуза - 1" 8(499)268-07-17, 8-926-535-86-53). It was great time! Place to recommend :)

Directly in the park station is the MCK Belokamennaya. Do not need nothing to visit of urban part of the park. For visiting the preserve part needs special pass.
