There are two competing house-museums in the same courtyard, one is near the arch, the other one is further in, inside an apartment where the writer rented a room for a while. Both museums offer recreations and evocations of historic interiors and some artefacts from...More

There are two Bulhakovs memory places at the same address. SO called Bulhakov House is less interesting, though a nice sculpture Of Koroviov and Behemot at front, as well as Berlioz head under the tram inside make it quite spectacular. The best value is for...More

As we’re both fans of Bulgakov’s writings, the museums in Moscow were one of the top things on the agenda when my girlfriend and I visited. Finding it was easy, but getting in is a bit tricky, because the door is always locked and there...More

Delightful small museum run by enthusiastic young people. Limited info in English, but they will be happy to give you what they have. Buy something at the little cafe or gift shop to support this, as they don’t charge admission. Make sure you get directions...More

As a huge fan of Master and Margarita, persuaded my friends to show me this museum. Would recommend it if you love his work! You should also book a tour around Moscow connected to Master and Margarita and his history.

I've been here many times before. Maybe the feet pacing along the Sadovoe koltso come here themselves, independently of my will. Or maybe it's because of a special atmosphere reigning here. First, in fact, the Museum here began a couple of decades before its formal...More

If you've never read Bulgakov, then you're probably not reading this review. On a more serious note, this is the place for true Bulgakov fans to visit. There are actually two museums here. There is one on the ground floor that is run by a...More

I love the graffiti up the hallway into the flat. Life in communal flats under Soviet rule is shown here, though information is provided in Russian for the most part. The rooms are beautifully laid out, both showing how Bulgakov lived whilst also combining aspects...More

The museum seemed to be interesting, but there was unfortunately no information in English. We thus didn't understand anything. The lay-out of the rooms were good. We could afterwards visit Bulgakov's apartment as well, which is quite close to the museum.
