I liked this square before the renovation, as it had more trees and looked less empty. But it's still very beautiful now, with most of the buildings here renovated, the monument in the middle and the sculptures (mainly chairs which you can actually use) everywhere.

Yesterday I was walking this area and there were some people/artists singing there and some young adults playing an interesting drama. There are always people there enjoying a nice evening walk and the city atmosphere. I recommend visiting this place.

Worth a walk through. First time visit but it is looking quite decent. Lots of shops and restaurants in the area. I had seen the umbrellas in a national geographic magazine or something when I was a child and was really stoked to see it...More

They did a good job, using the umbrellas to make the street look more cosy. Lots of tourist making photograps here

This square is located between Union and Victory square and it is the least famous of them. However it is as beautiful as the other two with nice atmosphere and beautiful buildings.

One can tell this square needs a little bit of TLC. However, the signs of improvement are showing and the work in progress in obvious. It is one of the 3 squares in Timisoara and certainly not the one to miss.

The square is old, is mostly reserved to pedestrian, except the tram lines and it makes the connection between Piata Unirii (Union Square) and Piata Victoriei (Victory Square), but it is empty and the atmosphere is far from the one from Piata Unirii or Piata...More
