Amazing, how the painting have survied, for hundreds of years, so very interesting, The interior is all painted as well, and lovely, even though you cannot taqke interior photos. The nuns are around all the while often singing in the church which is very evocative

UNESCO site. Absolutely gorgeous and unique. Can be included in a circuit with other monasteries like Humor, Sucevita. Wonderful experience. Good place to set as base for visiting for the trip: Gura Humorului city.

This monastery has a beautiful painted church- both in and outside. Although not significantly different than the others we have seen, it should not be missed

The monastery captures the visitor both with the special mural painting (the famous blue of Voronet) and the story of its construction and the way it is maintained by the nuns.
