This is one of the most important painted monasteries in Bukovina - don't miss visiting. You can also climb into the tower, from where you can have an excellent view of the monastery's grounds and of the neighboring village and hills. However, to do the...More

The exterior of this monastery is far more weathered than others, but the interior is just stunning. The paintings are still vibrant and in wonderful condition, with a beautiful altar.

Its not as well preserved as Voronet, but still has a unique appeal. It's close to Gura Humorului city, which can be a good base when visiting Bucovina Monasteries

I arrived here late this AM and there were scant other visitors. There's no entrance fee. The interior is outstanding (I saw this before Voronet) and I managed to get some photos inside although forbidden ;) I hitchhiker a ride from Gura and took a...More

Listed as a Unesco Heritage site, Humor Monastery is also a must see when visiting Bucovina. Make sure you climb the stairs of the tower, you'll get great views.

Slightly different from Voronet. The location is picturesque. Don't forget to climb the tower in good weather.
